Newslines, Coffee and Bacon Butties!

This morning, along with 27 others I was out delivering Newslines to the good people of Liscard and Egremont.

The weather was great, and between us, the whole ward, 6,500ish households received the Newsline.     Once we had finished it was back to Leah’s for coffee and bacon butties.     A great morning, thanks to everyone who turned out!

Tonight I was out with the team calling on houses in Greenwood Lane, and roads off.   At the risk of repeating myself, the reception was really good.  I have been out each night this week, the first time I have done 3 on the tro for a while, and I have to say I have been very impressed with the support.    In 1997 the electorate hated the tories, but I simply cannot believe they hated us as much as they hate this lousy Labour administration now.    EVERYONE tells us it is TIME FOR CHANGE…….

10 Go to Egremont

L –R, Me, Cllr Paul Hayes, Cllr Bill, Duffey, Cllr Karen Hayes, Cllr Lesley Rennie, Cllr Leah Fraser, Mike Hawk, Cllr Simon Mountney, Cllr Ian Lewis, Ann Lavin.

Last night I was out with the Action Team, all ten of us, knocking on doors in Roads off King Street.    Loads of new pledges, as well as plenty of issues for Leah, James and Karen to get their teeth into.    Its really is hard to believe that what was traditionally Labour heartland is now solid Conservative.  Thanks to everyone who opened their doors to us, and to Lesley for the beer in the Eggy Ferry when we had finished.

Two Teams in Egremont

Earlier this evening I was out knocking on doors in Mariners Park, Seabank Road and roads off.  I was leading one of the two teams that were out in Egremont.   The reception was brilliant, it seems that wherever we go in the constituency we are welcomed with open arms, and people continue to tell us just how fed up they are with New Labour, nationally as well as locally.

Thanks to, Sue Taylor, James Keeley, Paul Hayes, Bill Duffey, Tony Pritchard, Marg Kalil, Karen Hayes and John Laing.   All the issues raised will be dealt with by Leah, James and karen over the next day or so.

Action Team out Again

Tonight the team will be out and about knocking on doors in Egremont.  Sadly I will not be with them, because I will be at the planning committee speaking on behalf of residents on a planning application made by Anderton Concrete.    So another reprieve for Denis!   Never mind there is always tomorrow and the next day and the next day………………………….
