Save Our Greenbelt

Update on the planning application submitted by the Fire Service to build a new fire station on green belt land on Saughall Massie Road, adjacent to the sheltered accommodatioin in Woodpecker Close, Planning application number: 16/0985. Details of the application can be found here

Rr Many people have contacted us, not just those who receive our enews bulletin, to ask how they can object to this application and when those objections need to be submitted. According to the Council webpage the last date for the submissions of objections is the 18th August, 2016. (We were told originally the 21st)

By far the easiest way to object is via the Councils online page for this application and that can be accessed by clicking HERE. As well as this method, you can also email your objections to planningapplications@wirral.gov.uk ensuring you quote ref 16/0985

We have also set up an online petition, so as well as submitting your objection to the Council, I would also ask you to take a minute to sign this petition which can be accessed by clicking HERE. The more signatures and objections we have the stronger our case to defeat this unwanted and unnecessary attack on our green belt

Finally a reminder that me, Steve and Chris will be outside the Willows pub tomorrow, Sunday 31st July between 11am and 11:30am for you to pass to us your written objections to the application.

As always, if we can be of any assistance in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us.

  1. We have amazing greenery around Saughall massie with already being a busy main road and finding it difficult to park there was only a crash the other week at rush hour on Saughall massie lane, clearly this fire station is a money making and a non thought about decision that will ruin and make difficulty for the people In Saughall massie I strongly disagree with this ridiculous idea
