Planning Application Submitted for Fire Station on Greenbelt Land in Saughall Massie

The Fire Service has finally submitted a planning application to build,  ‘A Single Storey 2 Bay Community Fire Station incorporating operational and welfare  accommodation, offices and meeting space, external drill and training facilities and associated car parking on land off Saughall Massie Road, Saughall Massie, Upton, Wirral CH49 4QN; Planning application number: 16/0985  The application can be viewed HERE

We  have requested that this application is considered by Wirral’s Planning Committee in an open forum, and not by Council officers behind closed doors.

If we are to have any chance of stopping this unwanted and unnecessary desecration of our greenbelt and intrusion into the quality of life, it’s really important that everyone has their say.

You can do this by emailing the Town Hall at: planningapplication@wirral.gov.uk or using the pro-forma letter of objection I have provided HERE  Simply complete your name(s) and address, sign and return to the address shown on it; or if you would rather, you can hand the letter to me, Steve and Chris on Sunday 31st July, between 11am and 11:30am when we will be outside the Willows Pub on Saughall Massie Road.

Alternatively, you can object to this application online by clicking HERE All representations must be submitted by the 31st August, 2016.

If you require any further information please contact me, Bruce or Steve
