Parents’ dismay as Hilbre High School buses are cancelled – with no guarantee of replacements in time for half-term restart (From Wirral Globe)

UPDATE

I have been informed by Merseytravel that the operator Happy Als has registered the service with the Traffic Commissioner and will be operating the routes as a commercial service with effect from Monday 22nd February. This means that Merseytravel have no control of this service any more.

Now the question is why did Merseytravel terminate this contract? Do parents need to worry about the safety and wellbeing of their Children?

I do know that some parents have concerns over this service, talking about children smoking, no CCTV or CCTV that does not work, anti-social behaviour etc. I would advise them to raise any concerns or complaints with the Operator and the Traffic Commissioner, and with regards to smoking with the Councils Environmental Health Officers.

This posting is intended to assist not scare parents and I hope it is seen that way
