The Council want to close Girtrell Court, a very much needed dedicated facility that provides services to clients who have complex learning and or physical disabilities. Presently there are six residents and a further 14 beds that provide respite care to over 120 families, with two of those beds kept for emergency admissions.

As Local Councillors we are opposed to the loss of this dedicated facility and we need your help to make this Labour controlled Council change its mind.

Please sign the online petition which can be found at: https://t.co/k7BY1enacM Like this page, invite your friends to like this page and sign the petition and write to the Leader of the Council, phildavies@wirral.gov.uk asking him to withdraw this proposal from his budget plans.

Together we can keep Girtrell Court open. Thank you, Councillors Chris Blakeley, Bruce Berry, Steve Williams

  1. I attended the meeting yesterday at Wallasey town hall i was disgusted by the lack of compassion and understanding to the well being of our loved ones who attend Girtrell court i felt that people where fobbed off when trying to get answers to the questions being asked to the panel all they were concerned about was money and public opinion does not count.
