Yesterday evening, along with my wife Sandra and Cllr’s Leah Fraser and Ian Lewis we attended the official of opening of the u534 vistor atraction at Woodside Ferry Terminal.
Lots of people attended and the attraction as well as the alterations to the terminal are magnificent.
The U534 cost Merseytravel one Euro, and the cash finally changed hands last night. The whole evening carried the theme of the forties, with background music from Vera Lynne We were also entertained by the Swingcats.
Well done to the team (pictured right) at Merseytravel for putting on a great event this evening
Thanks also to the Chief Executive, Neil Scales for having the foresight and inspiration to turn an historical rusting hulk into a magnificent tourist attraction.
