Last night Seacombe, Tonight Wallasey, Tomorrow, Leasowe

Tonight, in not so good weather (nice hat Sue) a small but perfectly formed team comprising (l to r, Cllr Tony Pritchard, Cllr Sue Taylor, Cllr Karen Hayes, Cllr Ian Lewis and Me) were out in Wallasey Ward.

The reception on the doorstep was, as you would expect really good in a ‘Rock Solid’ Conservative ward.   Tomorrow onto the Leasowe estate.   Denis you can relax, but only until next weeks double header in Seacombe.

Linear Park, “Get it Sorted”, Demands Suzanne!

Following complaints from local residents, along with my colleague, Cllr Simon Mountney I visited Linear Park to look at the condition of the park and the play equipment.

Apart from the broken glass and litter that was prevalent, I was astounded at the neglect of this once beautiful area.  The safety flooring is coming up, as can be seen by the picture, and in addition the play equipment is rusting, that is where it is not covered in graffitti.     I am no Health and Safety expert, but its clear that this play area really is not fit for purpose.

I have sent an email to the Council demanding that action be taken immediately to bring this play area up to an acceptable standard.  With this sort of neglect it is no surprise that Wirral is only a two star Council.
