This morning along with my colleagues, Steve Williams and Councillor Simon Mountney I attended the Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph at the Royal British Legion, Pasture Road, Moreton. The service was conducted for the 42nd consecutive year by Branch Chaplain, Barrie Redmore, and was extremely very well attended, I guess today there was well over 200 people there. Simon laid the wreath on behalf of Wirral Council, and Steve laid a wreath on behalf of the Moreton, Saughall Massie and Leasowe Conservatives.
They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
