After a busy day, and along with my wife Sandra we went over to the Pier Head to watch and listen to the ‘On the Waterfront’ event.   The free event was entitled, ‘The Rightful Owners of the Song’, featuring the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the city’s best pub and club singers, and is part of a weekend of music in the City.    Sadly as if right on cue, mother nature intervened and just as the show started and for the duration it rained relentlessly and although people had come prepared with ponchos and brolleys the evening for many was ruined,  me and Sandra stuck it out for well over an hour, but by then despite the brolleys we were Wet, Wet, Wet and we had to seek cover in a watering hole!    Let’s hope today’s and tomorrows events have better luck.
