I have just learned that the petition, submitted by me and Leah Fraser last night at full Council, along with the wording from our Notice of Motion, and a covering letter affirming the Council’s view that landfill in at the North Wirral Brickworks, Carr Lane and for the Prenton Quarry has been sent to Merseyside Waste Environmental Services (MEAS). I really do hope MEAS take note of the TOTAL opposition in Wirral and the huge opposition in Moreton and discount both sites from its long awaited ‘Preferred Options Report’ Anything other than removal of both sites from its plans will not be acceptable.
Are YOU Listening MEAS?
