In line with last year’s program, Beatles Day will see a number of special events taking place throughout the city, including a Beatles Day Magical Mystery Tour, a Beatles Fun Run and tribute bands playing a series of gigs at city-centre venues associated with the band, including the world famous Cavern Club.
The event will culminate in a Beatles Day concert at the city’s 10,000-capacity Echo Arena, where a number of contemporary bands will perform Beatles’ hits, selected by the public. As well as being a celebratory day lots of money is raised for many charities, yeh, yeh, yeh!
