This evening I took off to Wallasey Town Hall to take part in some training, however I had to leave early to get back to Moreton to visit the Community Consultation event, with Cllr Ian Lewis and Leah Fraser, being held by Aldi at the Sacred Heart Parish Centre.  Aldi want to open a new store on the site of the Three Counties Car Sales site on Hoylake Road.

The consultatation attracted over 40 local residents, some in favour and clearly from the comments I heard some against.   Aldi have put together a scheme to improve road safety and intend to submit a planning application by the end of August.  If all goes according to plan they would hope to be trading in time for christmas 2010.   Watch this space for updates.
