Early this morning, along with my colleague Leah Fraser I attended the launch of Wirral’s brand new Radio Station, Heart 97.1.   Heart, which can be found on 97.1FM replaces Buzz FM and continues with many of the same team on and off air.

The station started broadcasting as Heart, at 6am this morning, however the Wirral launch took place at Frankie and Benny’s in Bromborough.  All the guests, and there were many were given a hearty (excuse the pun) bacon butty and a coffee and invited to take part in a competition for a Nano Ipod, fingers crossed.

I wish the station all the very best for the future, and along with other local radio stations it will keep people informed of news and current affairs as well as playing a vast mix of music for all tastes.   If you want to contact Heart click here
