This morning, along with my colleague Leah Fraser we completed the delivery of over 1500 letters and cards to the people who live closest to the suggested Landfill site at Carr Lane. Hopefully people will complete the card and get it back to us using the Freepost address. All the cards returned will help with our petition of objection.

According to this report [http://www.npower-renewables.co.uk/northhoyle/pdfs/nontechsummary.pdf], the wind in this area is predominantly SW/W. While I appreciate that those living in the immediate vicinity would be affected most, I would hope that sometime in the near future, those of us living anywhere (say) West of Pasture Road will get a further opportunity to express our objections as our first objections in the initial so-called consultation seem to have been ignored.
Hi John, I will be featuring the issue in our next Community Newsline to give everyone in the ward the opportunity to send me and Leah their views. I also understand from MEAS that once they have published the ‘Preferred Options Report’ there will be further opportunity for consultation and comment.
However I hope by then, that we, the residents of Moreton will have demonstrated enough opposition to this proposal that MEAS will remove the Carr Lane site from their preferred options. Watch this space. Cheers Cllr Chris Blakeley
