Regular readers of this blog and readers of our Moreton Community Newsline will be aware that I am constantly dealing with instances of fly tipping in Lingham Lane (Moreton Common side). We have only just has the last lot removed, and now we have a burnt out van, along with bags of rubbish and some old furniture at this location.
I have asked for this latest lot to be removed, however the Council really need to come up with a long-term solution to deter the scum who are continually blighting our Town.

The council are generating approximatly £500.000 income per year through the skip permitting scheme paid by opperators like myself, could some of the funding go towards a CCTV van, this would be a substantial deterent as well as being able to gather evidence for prosecution,we know all the hotspots.
Probably a covert wireless CCTV camera would be more effective, at least then you could get vehicle registrations and generate a prosecution. I work in the CCTV industry and am aware of the environmental services from many councils doing this. Identification, prosecution and a good piece in the local paper naming and shaming would clear the problem up.
