Back in May of this year the Council’s Planning Committee met to consider the Brickworks operators applications to extend for two years the screening and crushing operation, whilst at the same time delaying site restoration until 2011. We were all delighted that both applications were REFUSED. As expected the site operator has now, at the last minute submitted an appeal to the Governments Planning Inspectorate which asks that the Inspectorate reverses the Councils decision to refuse both of the applications.
