Tonight in drissly weather I was out with the team knocking on doors in Maryland Lane, Harvest Lane and Roads off. Thanks Chris, Leah, Bill, Ian, Lesley, Marg, and Mike.
One of the main topics of conversation was the Council’s proposal to provide traffic calming in the area at a cost in excess of £60,000. It seems that there is a split opinion on whether these speed bumps should go in or not, with those against saying they cause damage to vehicle suspension and bring suffering to those that suffer with joint pain, particularly necks and backs. Those in favour of course are delighted that the Council is finally going to spend money in our community and take action to bring about an improvement in road safety, particularly for the young, the elderly and infirm. It will be interesting to see the results of the Council’s consultation on this issue when it’s published. What do you think? Leave a comment on this site
