Following a call from a local resident, I went to Tarran Way South to see for myself the absolute mess that has been caused by people who simply do not give a damn about
Moreton, and who have systematically dumped all sorts of debris in Tarran Way South as can be witnessed by the photographs I have taken this morning.
It’s clear that whilst some of this is household debris, the vast majority of it is from demolition, clearance, call it what you may, and is dumped by unscrupolous uncaring individuals who simply do not want to pay for disposing of this properley.
I have asked the Council’s Waste Management Team to arrange to have all of this debris cleared as soon as possible, and to put into place a system that will help catch or deter these people. In the meantime I have suggested that they talk to the Planning Department who have been monitoring the activities of the nearby Brickworks with the use of cameras and video equipment. Their cameras may have picked up something that will help the the Council catch and prosecute the scum who fly tip in our community.
