I'm in full agreement with your call for disclosure. Elected officials that understand the responsibility - Scrutiny Committee, must be supported.

Somewhere along the road we have to re-build the trust between officials and common people that elected them. Whether the info becomes public or not, committee members must have the ability to oversee any technology that involves the citizens.

Remember this is an on-going process, so guidelines and administrative procedures may have to be re-aligned. The main goal is moving forward. Relying on (1) persons does not have the same effect as a committee.
