This weekend, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th sees the annual Wirral Show, held in New Brighton. Entrance to the show is free, you only pay to park your car, so its best to use public transport. The Showground opens at 10am and the promenade roads will be closed to the public from 8am to 6pm
The show area runs from Harrison Drive right along New Brighton sea front and is visited by thousands of local people and visitors to Wirral, this year the show organisors, Wallasey Rotary, Lions and Round Table clubs are expecting record crowds to visit.
This year, just like previous years there is a packed programme of events with something for everyone regardless of age. Among the entertainment wil be, the Festival Circus, Firebird International Road Show, and one of the UK’s largest outdoor fun fairs. There are aslo many displays by the Army, Royal Navy and the RAF and this year sees the North West Air Ambulance Helicopter as well as the the Royal Artillery Parachute Team, ‘The Black Nights’.
However one of the many stars of the show will undoubedtly be the ‘Gentle Giant of the Skies’ the Airbus A380, the world’s largest commercial aircraft. The Airbus is appearing only on Saturday 12th between 12 noon and 2pm.
