My collegue, Councillor Suzanne Moseley, (pictured above at the site) has been contacted by local residents who are trouble by noise nuisnace from the Waste Water Treatment Works in Carr Lane.
Cllr Moseley said, “I live close to this site, and like many residents I suffer from the noise, so I know just how bad it is.
I have spoken to United Utilities and they tell me that unfortunately the noise attenuation work was not completed in December as promised and residents have been contacting me about this. The contractor experienced a delay with the acquisition of the specialist parts for the silencer and the air-pipework.
“The new start on site date for the work is now 14 January 2008 and it is expected that the actual installation of the equipment will take three days only (15-18 January). The installation requires the treatment process to be temporarily interrupted and therefore is highly weather dependent,” added Suzanne

Hello, I live at 110 Millhouse lane Moreton On the 14 December I reported a water leak outside my property where the pavement and the road meets, a while later a van turned up and dug a hole consequently stating the pipe was damaged further towards 112 and crudely filled the hole. a couple of weeks has passed and I phoned again which again a van turned up and dug a hole in front of 114 and now have left this with a barricade around the hole since Friday. the sadness of this when they initialy dug the first hole the person in charge left a calling card giving me advice on how to save water, in the mean time this leak that they dont seem to bothered about has poured millions of gallons down the drain since 14 December 2007 I am not sure if you can have a word with them if you can It would please all of us here in this part of the Millhouse
